New York City Carnegie Hall premiere of Whitman’s America by the Oratorio Society of New York, Kent Tritle, conductor, featuring Susanna Phillips, soprano, and Steven Eddy, baritone.
The American Modern Choir (AMC) will feature two works by Mostly Modern Festival Artistic Director Robert Paterson, A New Eaarth for orchestra, chorus and narrator, and Whitman’s America, for orchestra, chorus, and soprano and baritone soloists. Kent Tritle, conductor.
World premiere of Lux Aeterna for a cappella choir by Musica Sacra, Kent Tritle, Director. This concert will also serve as the album release event for a new album of choral works by Robert Paterson funded by generous donors as part of a Kickstarter campaign organized by Musica Sacra and American Modern Recordings.
