Mostly Modern Festival - The Bell

Performance of The Bell and Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and The Wolf.

The text for The Bell is adapted from Hans Christian Andersen's 1845 fairy tale about a mysterious bell sound heard from a town, which inspires people to venture into the forest to find its source. The story follows the townspeople's failed attempts to find the bell, culminating with two young boys—a king's son and a poor boy—who eventually find the invisible bell in the sky, where the sea, sky, and forest meet.
